Finally - A Family Movie To Enjoy

While the boys went to Indiana Jones this afternoon, the girls opted to see "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl." It was totally fantastic! Maddie was absolutely glued to the movie screen. Since she's only 5, sometimes when we see movies she gets bored toward the end, or restless. Not today. What a great story - but a bit scary in the context of what is happening in the economy today as compared to the conditions in the great depression, the era in which the movie is set. My economics professor friend tells me that the main problem with the depression was the reaction by the federal government; he assures me that the feds now know how to react to "fix" the problem if we have a full-blown recession. Let's hope.... Anyway - go out and see Kit! You won't be disappointed!
