You know, I just realized that Maddie and Beau are sporting stuffed animal hats, representative of the mascots of the two major political parties - the elephant, and "kind of" the donkey (really a Build-a-Bear Clarice from "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"). This represents a rare moment when the two were actually playing together -- being silly. Maddie got the elephant doll at the Circus, which rolled into town last week. I especially want to wish my NOLA friends a very happy Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras)! Did you happen to see Al Roker this morning, with the head chef from Gallatoire's? I also saw a piece with Al, and a King Cake. He absolutely ahniliated the cake, looking for the plastic baby! Too funny!
