Congratulations to Thomas Beau, who was named a "Terrific Kid" at his elementary school, for the 4th quarter! Honestly, I don't enjoy seeing those "Terrific Kid" bumper stickers all over the place, but that won't stop us from putting ours on the minivan! I guess having a "Terrific Kid" bumper sticker on a minivan officially makes us (a) old, and (b) un-cool. All of that having been said, I was absolutely beaming with pride! I didn't really know what it meant to be a terrific kid - but here's the short version. Each letter of "terrific" stands for a different quality that the selectee embodies: Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive, and Capable. Wow! Wouldn't the world be a great place, if everybody had these qualities? WAY TO GO, BABY!!!!
