Mysteries Revealed

All of my students at Lander know that I am constantly pestering them to look things up that they don't understand - like concepts, and words. I took my own advice, and logged on to wikipedia.com (truly amazing!) to get more info on the origin of "Jellicle Cats" and the "Heavyside Layer." T.S. Eliot's young niece (or, maybe it was his daughter - don't recall), said "Dear Little Cat," which apparently sounded like "Jellicle Cat." As for the "Heavyside Layer," this is actually a scientific term for a layer in the outer Ionisphere - likely close to "the heavens." It's so amazing that in today's world, you can get the answers to all of your pressing questions, FREE, with the simple click of a mouse!
